Why I Love Dog Mushing

I have watched dog mushing for the longest time. I stared watching when I was 8. I finally decided that since we have so many dogs I started dogs mushing. There is a person that has been helping me with training the dogs its really working out. I was so proud of my self when I got a trophy for dog mushing because it was difficult and nobody else thought I could do it. There are many different types of sled dog breeds.

It was the Junior Race of Champions last year. I was coming around the last corner. I was 5 seconds behind 3rd place when all the sudden I thought I was in the snow. Well every one else has been in the snow in the exact same place, but I slid around the corner with out going in the snow, lucky I got my 5 seconds back and got 2 seconds more so I got third place.

It was very difficult.You have to train the dogs and make a sled and find or make harnesses.I was happy I finished that. The most famous dog race in the world, the Iditarod, takes place in Alaska. That would be an exciting race to be in!

Cortes had horses and lots of men that he had come with him. He had small boats. The boats were for getting though the small streams and rivers. Some of the other expeditions were for trade and and search for Christian captives.
